Old-Fashioned Stewed Pluots
A wonderful healthy breakfast accompaniment.

1 Saucepan
- 5-6 Plums or Pluots halved and de-stoned
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 3-4 Whole all-spice
- 1 Crushed, green cardamom
- 1 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup Muscovado or brown sugar
- 2 Tbsps. Orange juice
Add water. orange, juice, sugar, and spices to pot. Allow sugar to dissolve--about 10 minutes. Add plums (pluots) and let cooked on medium heat for about 20 minutes or until plums seems a bit softer. Do not cook too long or plums will become mushy. Once completed, remove cinnamon stick, allspice, and cardamom. Carefully stir in vanilla extract. Remove from stove and allow to cool completely before placing into jar of your liking. Enjoy warm over yogurt; however, it is enjoyable straight from the jar.
