Hello, I’ve finally found the time to dedicate more to writing blogs again. Life has been full, – all in beautiful ways. Serving my family, traveling, meeting new friends, and studying God’s Word, to know more about Him and His continuous loving kindness toward me.
Today I discuss something close to my heart—what it means to live a holy feminine life in today’s world.
Now, before I dive in, let’s be clear: femininity is not weakness. It’s not about being lesser or shrinking yourself. True biblical femininity is strength clothed in grace, purpose wrapped in humility, and a life lived in alignment with God’s design. It’s countercultural, because the world often tells us our value is in what we look like, what we own, or how loudly we can assert ourselves. But Scripture tells us something very different.
In 1 Peter 3:3–4, Peter writes:
“Your adornment must not be merely the external–braiding the hair, wearing gold jewelry, or putting on apparel–but it should be the hidden persons of the heart with the imperishable quality of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is precious in the sight of God.”
Notice that—“great worth in God’s sight.” The world might not honor holiness, gentleness, or purity, but God does. And that’s who we’re living for.
So, what does a holy feminine life look like in practice? I want to break it down into three areas: identity, character, and influence.
1. Identity
First, your identity must be rooted in Christ. We live in a culture that shouts at women: “Define yourself! Create yourself! Be whoever you want to be.” But here’s the truth—we don’t need to create an identity; we receive one. Our identity as daughters of God is a gift. Galatians 3:26 says, “For you are all sons and daughters of God through faith in Christ Jesus.”
When you know you’re a daughter of the King, you no longer chase validation from men, approval from friends, or affirmation from society. You don’t have to compromise your standards to fit in. You already belong. That’s the foundation of living holy: being secure in who God says you are.
2. Character
Second, holiness shows in your character. Proverbs 31 gives us a picture—not of a perfect woman, but of a godly one. She works diligently, cares for her household, speaks with wisdom, and fears the Lord. Notice, it’s not about expensive clothes or Instagram-worthy aesthetics—it’s about integrity, service, and reverence for God.
A holy feminine life rejects bitterness, gossip, vanity, and pride. Instead, it embraces kindness, patience, humility, and self-control. And let me be real: this isn’t easy. Holiness is a daily choice. It means checking your heart before you post that comment, before you wear that outfit, before you entertain that relationship. It’s asking, “Does this honor God? Does this reflect who He’s called me to be?”
3. Influence
Finally, a holy feminine life carries influence. Whether you’re a wife, mother, single, young, or older—your life is a testimony. People are watching. Women around you are looking for examples of how to live with dignity and faith. Titus 2 tells older women to teach the younger women—to train them in godliness, to model purity and love. That means your holiness doesn’t just affect you. It ripples out into your family, your community, and even the next generation.
In a world that normalizes compromise, your holiness shines as light. Your femininity, surrendered to God, becomes a witness of His goodness. People notice when you don’t follow every trend, when you hold yourself to a higher standard, when you carry peace instead of chaos. That’s influence.
Closing
So, what does it mean to live a holy feminine life? It means anchoring your identity in Christ, cultivating godly character, and using your influence to point others back to Him. It’s not about legalism, it’s about love. Love for the Father who made you. Love for the Savior who redeemed you. Love for the Spirit who empowers you.
And here’s the encouragement: you don’t have to do this in your own strength. Holiness is not about striving harder—it’s about surrendering deeper. The more you yield to God, the more His Spirit transforms you from the inside out.
So, if you’re reading this and feeling like you’ve fallen short, hear this: God’s grace is bigger than your past. His mercy is fresh every morning. Start today. Ask Him to shape your heart, guide your steps, and make your femininity a reflection of His holiness.
Because a holy feminine life isn’t just possible—it’s powerful. And when women live this way, they become a force for good in their families, churches, and society.
