Lavender Syrup

Equipment

  • 1 Measuring cup
  • 1 Saucepan
  • 1 Wooden spoon
  • 1 Strainer
  • 1 Mixing bowl
  • 12 oz Sterilized canning jar

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Cup Filtered water
  • 1 1/2 Cups White sugar
  • 2 Tbsps. Dried and crushed Lavender Flowers
  • Drops of natural Lavender food coloring Optional

Instructions
 

  • Add water to saucepan, add sugar and mix together. Add dried lavender flowers and bring to a soft boil. Turn down stove and let simmer for about 10-15 minutes. Strain out lavender flowers, let syrup cool down and add a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Pour in prepared sterilized jar. Refrigerate for up to 1 month. Use in nonalcoholic drinks, lattes, or tea.
