Pumpkin Pie Cake
A delicious cake most perfect for the autumn season
1 9 x 13 baking dish
1 Mixing bowl
- 1 29 oz or (two 15) oz can of pumpkin puree
- 1 13 oz can evaporated milk
- 1.25 cup sugar or less if you prefer
- 2 tsps. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 box yellow cake mix
- 1 cup melted unsalted butter
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- whipped cream (optional)
Instructions:1. Spray baking dish 2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees3. Whisk together first seven ingredients and pour into cake pan4. Sprinkle cake mix over these ingredients5. Melt butter and pour over cake mix6. Sprinkle chopped pecans on topBake for 1 hour, no longer, let cool for about 40 minutes, top with whipped cream.Original recipe from church member J.
