Pumpkin Pie Cake

A delicious cake most perfect for the autumn season

Equipment

  • 1 9 x 13 baking dish
  • 1 Mixing bowl

Ingredients
  

  • 1 29 oz or (two 15) oz can of pumpkin puree
  • 1 13 oz can evaporated milk
  • 1.25 cup sugar or less if you prefer
  • 2 tsps. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • whipped cream (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Instructions:
    1. Spray baking dish
    2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    3. Whisk together first seven ingredients and pour into cake pan
    4. Sprinkle cake mix over these ingredients
    5. Melt butter and pour over cake mix
    6. Sprinkle chopped pecans on top
    Bake for 1 hour, no longer, let cool for about 40 minutes, top with whipped cream.
